Let's get something out there since ThaiVisa and the Cafe must have a discussion like this buried somewhere, but I can't find it.
I understand work outside what one's Work Permit was applied for is illegal.
If one tutors people, or tries to work part-time at something like an institute/program, then they are working illegally.
Let's say a person gets caught tutoring or doing this part-time work:
1. How is this crime reported?
2. What are the ramifications? (Public arrest? Heavy fine? Court appearances? Deportation and perma-ban?)
Once a person gets "settled", they'll start getting this kind of work offered to them. In spite of its illegality, once a person gets some sort of good reputation it's almost impossible to not have several offers and several "under the table" jobs going in a given week.
So, what's really at risk here? |
