Hey, I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but can anyone help me out.
In the CAE listening paper, part 2, exactly how many words are allowed (the maximum). All the books I saw say word or short phrase but what is the maximum amount of words.
I did a practice test the other week and one of the answers was "Let's Activate" or something like that, surely that's 3 words. I'd much appreciate some clarification. Thanks in advance.

Hello Coburg,
In Part 2 of the CAE Listening paper, you have to write down the exact word or short phrase that you hear. The words will be nouns, proper names, a single adjective or an adjective plus noun.
The actual rubric does not state how many words are the maximum, but usually it is one or two words. They must be the exact words you hear, so that is the limit.

I know they recently redid the exams. Is any of the info still up on the cambridge ESOL website comparing the old and new exams? |
