I just spoken with my employment agency and told her what was going on here in the lovely city of Kuwait. I love this city and the people are very nice. However the tone changed when discussing my salary and how the offer that I accepted was insulting.

It is under 1000

I am currently in a doctorate of philosophy program
I have a Masters of Education
I am a certified special education teacher
I have been teaching for 5 years -4 in the states and one here

I would like to hear from persons with insight and the advice that I should take. Please PM me as soon as possible.

Generally speaking, being in a PhD program has no benefit to employers and will not be considered as related to your salary or benefits anywhere in the Gulf. They look only at what credentials you do have.

Keep that in mind and if you feel that the offer is not enough, apply elsewhere. IMO, I would apply directly to schools rather than using a recruiter... after all, their pay is, in effect, taken out of your salary.
