I have a job offer from a school in Quy Nhon. I have 1 year experience in Korea and over 4 now in Laos therefore I seriously doubt culture shock or any of that will come into play in any significant way.
What I want to ask is what can I expect to pay for rent in Quy Nhon. Is it usual for schools to pay for apartment rentals? Can you get a decent apartment for a reasonable price? The cost of living etc?
It has to be less expensive there than in the big cities. It's a small coastal town of only around 300,000 people.
I haven't seen any references to this particular town (city).
Thanks in advance |

Its a beautiful, sleepy coastal town with some very beautiful unspoilt beaches.
The ones where the fishing boats anchor is full of human excrement, but apart from that the town is fine.
No wedstern amenities like suitable supermarket, but as you have ben a while in laos, you should cope.
There is a small but strong NZ contingent of ex pats so some home comforts are not far away when it comes o roast dinners etc.
Cost of living? Sorry I dont know but I suggest contact Barbara, Everyone in QN will be able to direct you to her as she is a well known local. |

Thank you kindly. It sounds wonderful. Exactly the type of environment I like to live in.
It has to be better than Korea. Good god I hated that place. I saved a bundle and I had the best gig of anyone I knew. But Korea just sucks. I have a job offer to go back there too by the way. |
