Does anybody know of a good book or resources specifically for writing tasks? This is for adult employees who need help writing memos, reports, letters, etc. Nothing creative or literary needed.

I'm sure there was a book of the same name - Writing Tasks - but cannot find it anywhere on the web.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Search the web by googling the following:

KET Writing Part 9

or

PET Writing Part 2
PET Writing Part 3

You might find more by typing in:

IELTS Writing Tasks
FCE Writing Tasks

There's the Tricia Hedge (?) Resource book on writing, but it sounds more like your after business writing.

- For letters there's the now fairly old-fashioned Longman Business Correspondence Guide.

- Memos and reports are briefly covered in one of the Business Builder Resource Packs.

- The Intelligent Business Style Guides and Skills books cover letters, memos etc briefly and at least provide models and situations.

- BEC past papers and textbooks (eg Masterclass) also deal with business writing.

Hope it helps.

I'm using this with a student and it's pretty good. He enjoys it and it makes my life easier too.
