Hi guys!
I'm moving to Thailand and am enrolling in a Celta course in January.
I've been teachign in Korea for a year, and need a change. I want to go to southeast asia and am thinking either Thailand or HCMC~vietnam.
I guess my question is where are the jobs in thailand? I'd ideally like to be near a coast, but I assume I am not origional in that thought. I really would perfer not to be in Bangkok. Where should I go for the most sucess in getting a teaching gig?
Thanks!!

Find a nice job a short hop outside of BKK (60-100km). (there are enough of them). Start serious looking in March for the May start of the school year.
You will make the same money, spend less on your daily living (fresh food and rent), and still have access to the big city or the beaches for your weekend/holiday distractions.
As always, language schools (afterschool and weekends) are always hiring. You will work more (10-15 classes more per week) and have fewer holidays but can usually make a bit more than a regular (public or private) school.

Which areas would you suggest outside of Bangkok?
Thanks |

If you want the beaches, look south. If you want the mountains, look north.
Beyond that, does it really matter what the name of a town is?
Focus on the job offers that meet your needs and wants and keep it within 90km of the city for easy access. When you see an offer, look up the town's location on a map and decide if the direction and distance from the beach suits you.
The other choice is just aim for a job in a major Tourist center like Pattaya or Phuket, ignore the rest of the country and put up with what you get in terms of job offers and conditions.
