A group of teachers at the American School run a weekly book club, meeting at members' homes every Tuesday around 5-8 PM. It is mostly in English with mostly English titles of a wide variety of genres, and the odd Spanish language volume thrown in.

| I saw a posting for a book sale several months ago, but can't remember the details. Perhaps you know of upcoming booksales? In particular, I'm looking for Toefl exam prep books. I live in Oaxaca. Would appreciate any help. |

There is a book fair coming up in Oaxaca City. See http://www.utm.mx/temporal/fil.pdf
But I'd be suprised if you found a TOEFL prep book there. You should try the Proveedora Escolar on Calle Independencia downtown.
There is a great English bookstore in Oaxaca (Amate Books) but I don't think they carry English learning books. |
