This might be the wrong place to post, but I'll give it a try. I have some time off and want to do a homestay/study in Mexico. I've looked on the net and there is an endless amount of such schools. I only want to go for a week or two. I don't want to just hang out at a hotel in Cancun, that's why I'm interested in a school.
Do you have any pointers for me? and what do you think of this website?

I recently went to Guadalajara to do a Spanish program at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. It was a four week program that actually qualifies for university credit. There are cultural field trips to Mexico City, Teotihuacan and Tequilla and you live with a host family. There are no classes on weekends, so you can also take some trips to the coast or nearby states. I really enjoyed it and found the language instruction to be of really high quality. The price was also very good. ~$750 including everything except spending money and airfare (If you are Canadian). If you want more info, PM me.

I know two people who went there just last year and were thrilled with the results! One had to brush up on her Spanish skills for the Foreign Service; she subsequently passed the exam. Here's the URL: http://www.academiafalcon.com/ |
