Hi there,
I have recently read about an ESL job operating out of Amman, Jordan with Bell Amman. I presume this is the same company as covered by the international name that I have seen mentioned elsewhere. Im not sure which countries they operate from nor of their reputation. Any adivce would be appreciated. Although they state a salary what do you think about negotiating?
Many thanks |

I worked with Bell many many years ago on a short-term contract job in Qatar. They eventually lost their contract but have reemerged there as minor players in the ESL game. I don't know anyone who currently works with them but have kept in touch with someone who works for them in Oman. Few complaints. They occasionally hire Americans if they can't get enough Brits. When I worked with them, they were pretty up-front. Low pay, big classes but the money came on time and at least they dealt with housing issues when they came up. They also sponsored me for a CELTA course although I did have teaching qualifications and had been a Peace Core volunteer. A good organization to get your foot in the door with. |
