|
|
Hi folks,
I'm thinking about heading home next month for my friends wedding and I need a cheap way of getting from Japan (Nagoya ideally) to the UK (Cardiff or London). I've tried a few of the usual websites like kayak, travelsupermarket, opodo and ebookers and all are about 800 (106,000) or so.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get to and from the UK a bit cheaper? I did check the prices of 2 one way flights but it's not much different. I mean like, are there any budget airlines that only fly from certain places outside of Japan that it may be worth organising my own connection for?
Any advice would be great.
Cheers! |

I always found it useful to hop across the strait and take Korean Air, but that was YEARS ago...

Usually the cheapest is Emerates with a return price of around 800 pounds but recently Air Asia has started doing trips from Malaysia to Tokyo for 5000 yen (40 pounds?) so I think your best bet would be to go to Malaysia and then hop to Japan from there. |

Hmm I emailed HIS/No.1 travel regarding those cheap flights and it seems they don't really exist. All the dates they gave me were at least 140,000 yen when airport taxes and fuel charges were added on.
You have to send an inquiry form before you can book anything which takes them a day or two to respond to as well.
I've ended up booking cathay pacific for 900/120,000 yen because they had the best flight schedule for me. If I had more flexibility I could probably have got home cheaper. Oh well!
Thanks for all the suggestions anyway |

AirAsia has flights normally priced at about 270 one-way Kuala Lampur to London (tax and such included) . They discount it sometimes below 200. For example a one-way flight on Dec. 3rd Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to London (STN) is going for just under 179 right now. |
