Did your employer handle the paperwork for your FM3? If so, tell them it's time to renew.
If you're on your own, you'll need to gather up the renewal form, generate a fee payment form to take to the bank to pay the 2100 peso renewal, and some photos. You have the green booklet, right? You need the photos as they have switch to a photo ID card.

The process is detailed at the migra website. There may be more paperwork depending on the nature of your visa (spousal support, independently employed, etc). |

The costs and requirements do depend on what kind of FM3 you are renewing, but if you fill in the form shown in this link, it will generate a number and date, to begin the renewal process. (Disable pop-up killer or you will have trouble). Print this form off and take it to Immigration where they will assist you from this point.

Please note that they are super picky about the pictures with the new process, so be prepared if you have long hair or bangs. Some of the photo takers have been supplying hair gel or water to slick back hair, and elastic bands, for the pictures. No hair on foreheads or in front of ears is permitted. |
