Hi,
Curious, and wonder if anybody can help. When flying internally in Mexico, is it necessary to present your passport and tourist card at the airport? I'd rather not take those with me.
Thanks! |

Tourist card no, but passport or local ID yes.
So you finally found a flight? |

Passport yes, for proof of nationality, but it's also very important when traveling around Mexico to be able to prove you have legal status in the country, should you be asked. Only your valid FMM document can provide that proof. I'd not chance traveling without it, especially these days with heightened security checks. |

Guy, I'm already here in D.F, but I want to fly to Chihuahua and then take a trip via the Copper Canyon. Plan on doing some touristing before I settle down to work, although I already have a phone interview for a job in Chiapas, which would start in January. |
