There are a gazillion radio stations that also broadcast on the web, but it still has to be streamed - which is just continuous downloading and buffering.

Shoutcast stations are an example of this: if you have a decent connection, it plays just like the radio, and can be run from Winamp with no plugins or downloads required. Try:
