While I was a finance prof at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), my boss had me go there and give a day's lecture and Q&A session for their finance profs. SUFE is sort of the "head" organization of the various F&E joints. Anyway, I was impressed with their faculty which is usually a good sign. So many places which call themselves unis have uneducated "teachers" who read to students out of books. |

Piglet,
Are you sure about the name of the uni ? It wouldn't, by any chance, be Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE)? If it is, is the job in question at SWUFE proper (based in Chengdu), or at one of its affiliated colleges ?
There are a large number of unis and colleges in China that happen to have " Finance and Economics" in their titles. Whilst SWUFE, I believe, has a reasonable name (one of the better 2nd tier institutions; maybe, even top tier) there many such unis/colleges that are in the bottom tier. |
