I'm going home for Christmas and I'll be staying the night in Korea. I've done this before, but I've stayed at hotels near the airport. This year the guesthouse I like to stay at is all booked up and the hotels in the area are too expensive, so it looks like I'll be hanging out at the airport from 9:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. the next day.
Does anyone have recommendations for spending about 18 hours at Incheon Airport? I was looking at the Hub Lounge site, and it looks pretty nice. On the site it says that passengers can stay as long as they want once they pay the admission, but it says the hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Does anyone know if this means they stop admitting people at 10 p.m., or do they kick everyone out at 10 p.m.? |

Have you tried Incheon Guest House? I've used it a few times - reasonably cheap and very close to the airport ...

That's where I usually stay, and they're full. |

There are quite a few yogwans (traditional local hotels) within easy taxi range of the airport, but I haven't actually tried any out yet - saw them listed in the Lonely Planet handbook. Must say I wouldn't fancy a night roughing it in the airport, but then I guess I'm getting a bit old! Another possibility would be to go into Incheon and find a cheap hotel there. |

You are aware that there is a 24/7 jimjilbang (bath-house/sauna/sleeping rooms, etc) on the ground floor? They are about 10k won (IF I remember correctly) to get in and you get a nice sized locker and gym clothes for your stay.
Have a sauna / bath / shower, grab a few hours sleep and head out fresh as a daisy the next day to catch your connecting flight.

tttompatz, that sauna sounds nice. How big are their lockers? Do you know of a place at Incheon were I can keep my carry-on bag? |

The lockers are big enough for a carry-on bag or small suitcase.
ICN also have (had - it's been almost 8 months since I was there) a coat/bag storage place on the departures level along the back wall (outside of the security zone).
