hi everyone.
i've been in china for about a year, but i've gotten sick of it. has anyone here managed to move to japan to work from china? if so, what's the best way to do it?
i have two years of tutoring experience in addition to the year of teaching experience i've built up in china. i graduated from a top university in america and i spent a year studying in japan while i was in college. i also minored in japanese and i was a JASSO scholar. but i'm not sure how much any of this will matter. |

Few employers will interview you in China from Japan. The ones that do will do a phone interview or something like like Skype. You're going to have to come here.
Best routes are either return to your homeland and interview with the big chains, or make plans to come here at a set date and then inform potential employers so you can minimize down time and give them a chance to schedule an interview.
Your experience is pretty minimal, a lot like most newcomers. Don't expect any preferential treatment. Japanese employers often/usually don't count teaching experience outside Japan as being equivalent. With the market as flooded as it is, be prepared for a lot of closed doors. |
