Teachers degree, provincial license to teach, 10 years of experience = yes, you CAN get a job in one of the better international schools.

If you want university work you will need a Masters or PhD (this is an English speaking country among the educated).

If you get into a few of the better international schools you can save a nice chunk of change with salaries in the $30-40k per year.

If you get into an average private/international school then your salary will be in the CAD$1500/mo range.

If you just work ESL then you can expect a salary in the $800-1000 range.

You can live comfortably on it and save a bit as an ESL teacher but you won't be paying off any bills at home while you are doing it.

Getting a proper work visa is another matter (many schools are unable to properly sponsor you for the visa).

If you are married to a Pinay then it is a different kettle of fish.
