I need to fly into Japan every month for three days or so. Where would be a good convenient country to do that from? I would teach there. I know Korea is close but heard it isn't that good. |

You might get away with it a couple of times, and even as a tourist you are allotted a certain number of days as a tourist, depending on your nationality, but immigration might get suspicious after the 3rd time. About the only advice I can give is to try different ports each time.
Can I ask why you need to come here so often? |

Immigration is unlikely to care if someone is popping in for 3 days a month. This is 2010 not 1975. People travel everywhere all the time. Immigration authorities only get suspicious of those staying for the duration of a tourist pass and leaving for a day or two before entering again onanother tourist pass.
Your best bet is shanghai. |

You might have mentioned this in your first post. Sheesh! As long as you have a valid reentry permit (good for 3 years at a time), then you are legally allowed to come and go. That doesn't mean some immigration officer won't find it a little odd and ask what you are doing.
Not going to answer my question? |

When you say look hard I guess you mean about finding the good work, not fun. I guess lots of expats to hang out and Chinese women to meet, right? As far as teaching goes how about Wallstreet? I heard they pay well. If I am applying from abroad would that be a decent one to go for? I have the CELTA and lots of experience in Japan as well. |

I believe wall st has been bought out by Pearson Longman education. Salaries are average, can do better. Aim for 17k plus a month.
Shanghai is a great place to be at the moment, vibrant, brash and full of optimism. |

For example which schools pay more? Yeah Shanghai sounds great, I guess you could look around at other money making possibilities while teaching. I heard rent is high. I guess sort out visa and school before going there. |

If you want to be paid well, you'll need to do the research!
Rent high? Not really. Depends what you compare it against. Can get a decent (but smallish) condo for around RMB4000 a month. |
