|
|
Hi. Does anyone know about this new city Jazan Economic City next to the Red Sea near Yemen? I have seen only future computer oriented info from the govt. when I search this place on the net. Also most people can tell you about Jazan or Jizan which is an already established town a little farther south. But this new industrial city is some km north west of Jazan called Jazan Economic City. It has been under way in construction for some time. I am thinking of working there in Sept. I will work in Jazan but live in Jazan Economic City. Is this place just one big messy construction site with no building yet or are any areas already built and operating now with western establishments. Any on the ground info from someone who is there? |

"all-boys classes" ???????????
All education in KSA from KG to Graduate School is segregated by gender. The only exception is in SOME (but not all ) international schools. |

New city (full of half-finished construction), new school (full of chaos), all boys (full of energy lacking all discipline)... in Saudi...
Wow... can't get a scarier option for a newbie to this part of the world.
Don't even think about it itsjustvowels!

I looked on the official site, but as you said, only computer renderings of what it will look like. No construction pictures. |

Hopefully you can find something better... and there have to be many better choices in the world. If you decide to go, come back here and report to us how you stood up to it all. We always love the chance to say "I told you so."
Good Luck in whatever you choose!

I'm sure some of the teachers at that school are still reading this thread. I'd like to know how you like teaching there. Feel free to send a PM if you'd like. |

I don't believe that there has ever been a poster from this school, and it is highly likely that they don't have PM privileges - assuming that one has ever showed up here at all. Personally this is the type of job that I wouldn't consider it for a moment if I couldn't communicate with a current or past teacher... that you knew was sane.

It's a new school. They started end of September. Finding a past teacher would be helpful but a current teacher would be great too. |

The most interesting part of those pictures was that I did not see even one human... even in the photos of the city. I did see one moving car on one of the streets.
It looks like an empty movie set...
