I'm getting something small shipped USPS priority international from the US to Japan and I was wondering if anyone had any experience on the receiving end?
If so, how long did it take you on average?
Also, if I'm not available to pick up the package, is there a chance it could get shipped back to the US and how do I stop that from happening? |

The Post Office in the U.S. ought to be able to give you an estimated time of arrival. If you are not at home, it will go to a main PO in your area, and a pickup card will be left at your home. You can call for a later delivery or pick it up yourself. Bring I.D. |

I think it's around 5-10 business days. If the delivery fails, they'll keep it in the post office for a week or so, I think. Those little slips that they stick in your mailbox that let you reschedule your delivery always have a final date on them, if you've got an old one check on there for how long it was. |
