|
|
I am trying to decide whether to teach English in S. Korea or Thailand.....
My problem is that my first choice is Thailand, but I am drawn to S. Korea because of the financial benefits (paid airfare, housing, higher salary, etc.) Maybe that makes me a sell-out.....but I do have to consider my student loan payments and financial obligations (blah).
In your opinion, what are the pros/cons of working in each country?
i.e. quality of the schools/jobs, safety, visa requirements, attitude towards women, food, cost of living, landscape/sightseeing, climate/weather, overall experience, etc.
I'd love your opinions. Thanks!! |

This post would probably be more appropriately placed in the 'General Asia' forum. You'll find it below, along with forums for Thailand and Korea which are full of info regarding both countries from an ESL perspective - including tonnes of info for and by newbies.
Further, there's no real need to double post it here and in the newbie forum. Regulars here frequent both boards.
I suggest you may want to amend your approach a bit to get the best possible feedback. |

Go register on the Korean board. Discussions about working in Korea are not permitted in the international forums and there are enough people there who have worked in both places to give you a good idea and discussion of the sort you are requesting.
