Hi,
I'm busy doing a CELTA to head over to China. I would like to teach there for 2 odd years (building up experience) and then from there go to Russia. It's not for money, it's for a love of the country that stems from some place I don't know, so $$$ is not a drawing point.
Would it be possible for me to do that - due to me not having a BA, will only have a CELTA and the experience picked up in China (which should count for something)? |

I wouldn't be too optimistic that Russian employers will be 'wowed' by experience in China. It's pretty well-known that the approaches, methods, and student motivation and expectation are VASTLY different between the two regions.
That said, people do go from Asia to Russia - my point is simply that experience doesn't necessarily translate 100%. |

From my personal experience, a native speaker with CELTA is golden in Russia!..Plus you got Chinese experience!...I don't think you not having a BA/BS would make much difference.
Try Ukraine too perhaps, almost the same country but no visa required. |
