I went for an interview at the LSE, for an EAP position. They asked me to prepare an outline syllabus for a certain skills area in advance, and had me correct a piece of student writing on the spot.
No problem with that, except ... they didn't even have the politeness to get back to me afterwards, despite promising to 'be in touch by Monday'.
Thanks very much, folks. It would have taken you ONE MINUTE to send me an email of the 'thanks, but no thanks' type.
Is this the norm for EFL in the UK? Do these guys really feel happy about asking you to invest a couple of hours preparing for an interview, and then just ignore you?
It's really quite sickening. |
