|
|
Hi, I'm heading to Indonesia early 2011 to do a CELTA (with that supposedly 'terrible'?? man at TBI in Jkt). From posts on Indonesian board it would seem not much is available there for <12mths.
I realise that to do >6mths would give me some solid practice to back up the CELTA course. However, I'd be interested to get advice on shorter (<12mth) options.
I like Malaysia and SE Asia in general.
Any advice on shorter possibilities in the region?
BTW I have no degree but a tertiary diploma, plus a grad diploma (in English) and am halfway through my masters in international dev't. I mention this just in case the bureaucrats demand a DEGREE.
TIA, Grahame |

Finding jobs for less than 1 academic year (10 months) are usually hard to find except in some of the language academies.
Occasionally you can find jobs for 1 term/semester but not so often.
IF the "bureaucrats demand a DEGREE" it would be your Bachelors degree. Most (when a degree is a visa/work permit requirement) won't consider an MA without the BA (immigration requirement not a judgment call).
Indonesia or China are your best bets. You can often find single term employment in China.
