When you enter KSA do they still keep computers to inspect and then make you pick them up later? Do they inspect external drives or flash drives?
And is it possible to download from services such as Carbonite and Mozy in KSA? |

Your question comes up, I would guess, on average about once a month or so. i'm not having a go at you, just reiterating my request for a 'sticky' thread to deal with the sort of predictable, easily answered questions that keep coming up.
Anyway, the answer is that you'd be very unlucky to have your computer checked, or indeed to have your baggage checked in any but the most cursory way. Which isn't to say it coudln't happen, but it's rather unlikely. |

Yes, I see that you're right.
Does anyone have an answer to my question about Mozy and Carbonite? |

Have they EVER kept computers to check them? In all my years here since the 90s, we have had one poster - NCTBA - who had his desktop computer taken many years past.
Anyone know of any other person or time?

I don't know what Carbonite and the other are. I'm in Saudi but I have a proxy service based in the US and my IP address shows up as in the US. Nothing is blocked, therefore, and I can use such US-only sites as Hulu, and download bittorrent movies for free. Just watched "The Social Network" (really good film!) and other recent movies. |
