Dear dmb,
Only the Supreme Being - and dirt - are older, at least on these forums, I think.

My sincerest apologies to the (grand) godfathers of the Forum.
It was a slip of the finger in that I mentioned your fine names.

Please, no horse's head in the bed

I can remember when the price went up to two shillings. When I started drinking it was one and six for mild and one and nine for bitter; and Woodies were eleven pence a packet of five.

Incidnetally, how about a "How decrepit are you quiz" I might manage to get one right.

Bitter and mild, guv. And give us a packet of Woodbines while you're at it.
Cheers Smile

Dear Stepen Jones,
This is the best I could find:

http://www.quizilla.com/users/jsimner/quizzes/How%20Old%20is%20Your%20Inner%20Child%3F

but it isn't very accurate; I scored as being 45 (but that's as high as it goes).

This one may be too "USA orientated".

http://www.mnstate.edu/hanson/mc210/mc210_gauging-age.htm

I scored 100% on the first of the 2 quizzes here but got 2 wrong (numbers 14 and eighteen - that's weird; every time I tried to write the number eighteen, I got a smiley face for the eight) on the second.
Regards,
John

1 and 6? Nine? What does this mean? Why are there no references? Or is it some slag?

Confusingly yours

Well, I got 2 right. That's not so bad considering I'm still technically a teenager (19 for 3 more months).
Unfortunatly I guessed on the 2 I got right. Confused
My inner child is 16. That seems pretty young.
But, hey, you're only as old (or young) as you feel. I feel 46. I'm tired and sore from my hard chinese bed. I'm sleepy from eating so much at lunch. Hmmm... Middle age, only 60 more years till I'm 80. Smile Ha Ha.
But I gotta go teach, that's always fun. Youger myself up a bit. Maybe I'll feel my own age when I'm done. Very Happy
See ya!!

I think you're the exception Nikki!

When I, and most other foreign teachers, had/have finished classes, I feel I've aged 40 years in as many minutes. Sore, tired, murderous rampage comes to mind.........<?>

Ok, now I'm confused..

Apparently my inner child is 16, but I got 20/22 on the first gauge your age and 19/25 on the second one.

What on earth does that mean???

Think I'll go terrorise my students now - keeps the murderous rampages to a minimum and me entertained! Wink

I can remember one pound (UK) being quite sufficient for a Friday night out (three pints and a bag of crisps or chips), followed by a good barf in the bushes. Aye that were a long time ago lad. Not as long as some of you chaps above though!

I was told by Quizilla that my inner child is 16. Personally, I think it is lower.
