Is there a preference for the CELTA or TESOL to be done in country as opposed to one's native country? Due to scheduling and financial restraints, I am opting to do a night time/weekend TESOL program here in California instead. I know the month or few weeks it takes to obtain the certification in Vietnam would be a great way to adapt, but I've been there enough times to get a pretty decent idea of what I'm walking into. Thanks. |

TESOL is just fine, doesn't really matter where you take it. |

No, most of the teachers I've asked did a CELTA or TESOL abroad before coming. |
