Anyone heard/know anything reliable? I hear good things about town itself. What about the school? I believe there are 2 EFS there. Are they (reasonably) well-run? What is the salary? How are the DOS's??
Thanks

Last year I had worked at Real English in Yogyjakarta and we had a lot of teachers come over from EF trying to get in. As a matter of fact Real English was started by ex-EFer's. But the way things were run between both schools I think its safe to say avoid both of them. Especially Real English. I left my contract half way through. Just a terrible experience.

thanks for the feedback. Seems everyone bitches about the school they're in huh what Specifically was so bad? Management? How were the other teachers?
I have a question---with the Kitas, if I were to leave my contract, which I am on the verge of doing, do I need to get an exit visa thing? Or is that only if you plan on returning to the country? This stuff is so confusing!
I know people with Kitas who couldn't leave and come back on a trip b/c they didn't get the exit/re-entry visas.

If you've just began a first stint in the ESL game and find yourself 'jumping ship' after just three months-looking for pastures new, wherever they may be, you should seriously ask yourself if you're 'cut out' for this job/racket/profession in the first place? Every forum on every ESL board has some 'negative comments' regarding certain schools/franchises in every country. 'EF'-Indonesia and China. 'Wonderland'-South Korea. 'International House'-just about bloody everywhere now! But these negative comments are only worthy of reading [in my opinion] when they come from somebody who 'did their time' in one of the establishments before moving onto something better. So you've been in the game for 3 months and want to 'move on' to another city/country/experience? Why? What's so bad about the position you have now that you want to break with it before one year? Why do you think it's going to be better somewhere else.....?

I personally loved my time at Real English. Will PM the above contributor so we can chat about what went wrong. As things stand I would still endorse Real as a good school but I know there have been many changes since I left.
