Hi folks,

I know that complaining is not usually a good thing to do. But I am literally compelled to at least make this little post about just a champion guy that I had the misfortune to have dealings with: Long Long.

He's a recruiter, from Suzhou, I think.

We exchanged several emails and had a few phone conversations before I finally, and politely, declined his offer of employment, since he hadn't given me anywhere near enough details about it, saying he would 'when I arrived.'

But then he began sending me rude emails. I replied with due Western confrontation-ism (not saying that's a good thing) to which he- get this:

He then sent me back Photoshopped pictures of my passport, me teaching some nice young kids, my scanned degree, etc. with things like: 'EAT SH_T!!!' '(my name) IS A SH_T EATING BAS_ARD!!!' '(my name)'S MOTHER EATS SH_T!!!' with literally a scanned pic of some excrement superimposed over it, etc. It was unbelievable! I was shocked, stunned, hurt, and believe me- feeling rather murderous towards him.

I called him immediately and gave him a piece of my mind, to which he threatened to 'have me deported,' 'post my passport all over the internet and tell everyone what a xxxxxxx I was,' etc. Oh man, believe me; I wanted to go pay him a visit just then! I still do...

He then continued emailing me his spam-job-ads, and even emailed my girlfriend (who had unfortunately also been in touch with him, as we were traveling together and both looking for jobs) telling her, literally, to leave me, and what a xxxxxxx I am, etc. Can you believe this guy???!

Needless to say: avoid this SOB at all costs. That's the 'longlong' and the short of it.

Again; I'm sorry to have had to complained, but if it helps someone avoid something similar, then GOOD!

Ah, yes. "Longlong"!

Recruiters in China seldom use their real names, if ever. They go by "Anna Liu" or "Sam Hu" or "Dingding" or "Xiaoxiao" with impunity.

We however give them all our private information including our full resumes, photos, passport information, etc.

The reason he flipped out was obvious: Spring Festival is around the corner and he needs money. He probably has a hard time getting recruits as many see the ambiguous offers and just ignore them. The few that go for it want answers, When none come, they bail.

I know of this "Longlong" character.

He offered me a job with long working hours for a tiny salary and I asked him (politely) what made him think any half-educated and/or experienced teacher would work for 30 hours a week for 5000 RMB a month when he or she could make triple that in Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai or other locations I can't mention.

He used all sorts of terrible language when he demanded my confidential info. and I refused until he answered my questions to which I just blocked him completely.

Thanks for the heads up; I believe I mentioned him in a post somewhere last year. Seems he is getting worse and he only has himself to blame for the low number of teachers he is able to acquire because of his pathetic attitude.
