You have given no info in this post. Nothing about yourself, background, expectations etc. Also, no info about the school.
Can't offer advice based on no info.
I guess you're looking at working in some kind of language school and seem worried about having a job when you arrive in Mexico. Search through the countless threads that have given advice to newbies and you'll find a common theme: Schools in Mexico prefer to hire folks that are in country, in person and standing in front of the HR person.
Beyond that, if you are a native-speaker, with either a degree or a TEFL cert, you should have no problem finding work. Most of the schools that hire sight unseen do so because the pay and bennies at such places are sub-par, to say the least. |

As the prof says, better to be here. Just roll up with your documents in order in the city where you want to work (and plenty of money/flight home just in case). You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a job, especially in a language school (tefl cert & a pulse is usually more than enough) and if you can stick it out till the summer, the unis start hiring.
You'll probably get more replies if you list your qualifications and experience, where you want to go etc. |

ABC is in Poza Rica, Veracruz Mexico. I sent them my resume and here are parts of the their reply:
"Thank you for your interest in ABC English. I am looking for teachers to start as soon as possible.
Prospective teachers are expected to work a minimum of 96 hours per month,
but if schedules are not filled on time or classes are cancelled due to circumstances not related to the teacher, teachers are covered with a minimum pay of 72 hours per month. You will get $80.00 Mexican pesos per hour. Taxes are paid by the school."
"A minimum contract of six months is offered upon arrival. This is obviously open to extension indefinitely. The school will organize and pay for an FM-3 (working visa.
The accommodation provided is in apartments shared with other teachers with a private room for each teacher, although it`s nothing compared with those in America or Europe, it has all the basics like gas, electricity, running water, hot shower, etc"
What do you guys think? |

Since accommodation and visa is thrown in you could scrape by on the $6000 or so they pay a month. Don't expect to be able to save much or to be able to afford a flight home on those wages though. Check if you need to pay for the utilities. |

Sounds like a good first time job...the experience earned will be worth more than the paycheck. |

Don't worry. From a quick Google, it looks like they have openings on a regular basis. |
