Hello everyone.
This is my second post. So far, I have found this forum to be most helpful and informative in my budding ESL career.
But...
There is something here that annoys me.
How can I post my avatar? Seriously. Why do I have trouble posting an avatar next to my username. An avatar would add flair and color to an otherwise dull-looking posting. Many other forums (like Syfy) allow you to easily and immediately post an avatar.
I don't think this question has been fully or satisfactorily answered.
Or is this problem already being remedied? |

You only have two posts and that's why you can't post an avatar. You have to have 100 posts before you will be able to have an avatar. After you post the 100th, you will then be able to go to your profile page, scroll down to the very bottom and you will see a place where you'll be able to put the avatar.
I go to photobucket.com, register, select an avatar I want, copy the address and then put that address in the avatar box at the bottom of the profile page and hit submit. You will then have your beautiful avatar. Remember, you will not see the place for the avatar address until you have posted 100.

Finally got around to adding an avatar.
But I also wanted a signature (upgrading 2011). Does it work? hmmm. no |

Hmm, don't mean to be a critic, but is your avatar out of focus, or do I need new glasses? |

No hurry. If that is your doggie, it would be nice to be able to see (and admire) him or her better. |

Goofed up??
And there was me thinking this was a piece of contemporary art examining and challenging notions of identity (the domesticated dog) with the subtle (yet still astonishingly in-your-face) out of focus feature as a metaphor for the modern sense of human displacement and unease.
Oh, well! |

too much credit
And don't try the 'd' word with this canine - he's entirely small wolf in terms of function |

Thanks for the info, guys.
Just curious...
Will I be able to post an animated avatar upon reaching 100?
That would be so cool! |

Animated avatars are no problem. They just can't be too big. |

No, Dave eliminated that function a couple years ago, because people were posting a lot of useless info in hopes of getting their signature up which backlinked to their site in order to get more traffic.
Anyone know when they added the 100 post rule for the avatar? |
