I know in South Korea you did a hospital check, did an FBI background check and what not and got an apostille for your degree. |

For Americans the costliest aspect of the process is the battery of medical tests that you must undergo in the U.S. They are required for the work visa.
Be careful. An increasing number of Saudi employers send teachers on a business visa. This is relatively easy to get, but stay from recruiters who want you to go this route. |

What do you think of direct hires who want you to get a work visa, but if impractical like in my case (I don't want to foot the bill for travel and medical tests in the USA while I am in Asia), they would bring you in on a business visa? |

What do you think of working illegally? They won't care as it saves them money... you're the one who will have sacrificed all legal protections.
