Hi,

Does anyone have any insights into this school and whether it is a good place to work? I can find posts up to 2008 and then it all goes quiet... a good thing maybe??

This is just a second-hand report; a friend of mine with many years experience teaching KS1 & 2 was teaching there until Easter 2010.
She liked the kids, and said good resources were available, but found that the staffroom wasn't a very friendly place and the board was much more interested in what the parents would think than in what would actually be beneficial for the children. There was also apparently more than the usual amount of friction between the Chinese and western staff (at least that's how it was perceived by a non-Chinese speaking westerner).
Hope you can get some first hand info too!

I worked for them when I was starting out in international schools. They're very Chinese in their attitude for an international school and are strictly in it for the money no matter what they say. The Christian tone may drive you crazy and there is more tension in them than other international schools. They're know are the international school sweat shop outfit but not a bad place to get started in international schools but don't stay too long. Move on to much better schools after your two years. There are worse places to work but there are also much better.
