Anyone know a good school to work at part-time in Guangzhou, or a source to get private students? |

a few years ago a friend of mine just went knocking on some doors of local language schools asking if they wanted anyone to work part time. he landed a couple of part time jobs that way and since he was only at each place a couple of hours a week he enjoyed it more than if it was his primary job.
and this friend was african (black) with a strong accent. |

For jobs take a look at http://jobs.echinacities.com/guangzhou-jobs/. This site has a lot of recruiters; beware of them. It also has ads from employers you don't want to touch with a 10-foot pole, such as Hampton and Alcanta Vocational College (there are separate posts about both of them). If you see an employer posting again and again be suspicious; they are probably rotten and can't hold people. But there are also good jobs with good employers. If you want to teach kindergarten, or, to a lesser extent, after-school programs for primary school students, there are plenty of part-time jobs. When you first answer just send cover letter and resume; wait for them to provide more information about job and organization before you sent documents. |
