...possible (legally). I saw a recent job post offering TEFL training and 'short' term contracts. Got me thinking.
Experiences? |

my first job in china was one term, feb-jun. pay wasn't great and the other financial benefits were just ok, nice apartments though. three months is pretty short. How about some more details? |

Details as to what I want or what I have seen on offer?
You can find what's on offer on the job board here. After a 7 day TEFL course, they were advertising 4 - 11 month contracts, mainly at universities.
As for what I want, I have to be in Beijing by mid-June, wind up in Korea end of next month. Obviously a 3 month contract would be ideal for me. Just not sure if 1/ visas are issued for that short a duration (Korea's not real flexible in that area - don't know about China) and 2/ schools/universities have a requirement for teachers on 3 month contracts.
I wouldn't be out to make money, just get by/kill time until June. |
