Hi all.
Just looking for some thoughts in relation to becoming qualified to teach the IB in international schools if anyone out there has any advice to offer me.
I have a Bachelor's degree and am a qualified secondary/upper primary teacher in Australia. I have seven or so years worth of full-time teaching experience across most learning areas and with all of the ages that I'm qualified to teach.
I'm curious as to whether it is necessary to do a course in teaching the IB curriculum.
Also, I'd appreciate someone with a bit of knowledge having a look at the Masters degree (or the Postgrad Certificate) I'm considering and perhaps comment on whether either are worth doing, or whether there are better courses (preferably online as I currently teach full-time). The courses are linked to the www.ib.org website as both lead to the Level 1 award in the IB.

Thanks in advance |

Some international schools will offer on the job training. However, if you have the chance to do the IBO trainings on your own, it would probably make you more marketable to prospective employers. |
