I hope this place has not turned into a haven for dysfunctional (or functional) EFLers. Any comments ?

Molly's Place is a real haven in Camekan Sokak, near Galata Tower, if you want a change from Turkish food. Molly is friendly and a delightful host and there is always something cooking in the oven - quiches, pasta, apple pie, muffins, chocolate chip cookies. The coffee is good too.

The decor is interesting - bookcases with amusing collections of books and board games, comfy sofas, art on the walls. There is live music at the weekends.

Molly chats to everybody and gives some good tips for antique hunting in the nearby Cukurcuma and Turnacibasi Sok.

I didn't spot any dysfunctional EFL types when I last visited, just lots of ex-pats with children who were enjoying painting Easter eggs and putting Smarties on cookies. I believe she has made it into Time Out magazine.

With all her experience, you'd think she would have opened a hardware store. She's so good with using things and an expert on tools.

Have been to this cafe more than once.

It's really quite comfy and cozy. Great breakfast. Loved the pancakes.

You can meet quite an interesting variety of customers from Americans to Itailans and many more.

Dude
