Anyone have access to the ISS database of school salaries and feel like sharing? I'm wondering what schools pay but I don't feel like plunking down $185 just yet as I don't even have my Bed yet.

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm sure that salaries vary according to country, experience, and qualifications. $185 isn't that much in the grand scheme of things, other intl school places charge more.

I have access to the info but it would take me hours to list the salary of each school, if you have one or a few in mind I can look those up for you. Many ISS represented schools are top ranked and high paying, and are very picky whom they hire. Many of the top schools require previous international experience, many prefer teaching couples, most seem to favor the younger candidates. What are your qualifications?

Other ISS schools, call themselves "International" but are geared toward rich kids of that particular country, some are low paying and the owners tend to favor the students and parents to their foreign teachers. I suggest ISR "International School Review" as a source for school comparisons.

I can see joining ISS for the excellent job fairs, but I don't notice any promotion of ones candidacy beyond that. They barely return e-mails, and many of the jobs they had listed, the night before the S.F. fair, did not exist by the next morning. I don't think they update their lists as fast as they could. Next year, I will certainly go a different route.

Sign up for tieonline and many of the job ads list the salary range. It only costs $29 (I think) for an annual membership. I signed up while I was in school and I think it was worth it.
