I am currently taking stock of my options and casting my net out for potential jobs in Japan. I have hit most of my big choices up so far but I have also been looking at a number of Eikaiwas in locations that I like.
The problem is that most of these sites lack an English info side. This doesn't discourage me much as I can write up an email in Japanese and have a friend proof it and edit it for formality, but I'm wondering if it is worth it?
Has anyone had any success hitting up schools that don't openly advertise in English? Do they offer visa sponsorship for those outside Japan usually (as I am)? How do these schools compare to Aeon in terms of the amount of marketing/sales you have to do? Plus non-teaching hours work (not related to class)?

If they don't have online info in English, don't expect them to recruit outside Japan. If you write to them in Japanese, be prepared for them to believe that you can write/read/speak it as fluently as it appears. |
