What's the correct way to respond to a potential employer who after showing intereset previously, goes for a couple months without correspondence? I am interested but don't want to sound desperate. Plus it is kind of annoying when you haven't been informed of the salary!! How should I reply via email withoug sounding desperate so that I increase my chances of getting a decent salary? Also what is good wording to let them know I am also considering other offers so that they know they have some competition. Feel free to PM. Thanks again all who provide assistance. GREATLY APPRECIATED. |

I would go along the lines of saying that you were greatly impressed by their school/company and are eager to work for them, but that you have receive a couple of other offers since the interview and, as they are your first choice for a future employer, you'd appreciate an update on their recruiting process before accepting one of the newer offers.
Having said that, two months with no contact doesn't sound awfully hopeful. Did the original job ad have a deadline or a job start date? |

I have just been contacted again within the past day. Prior to that it had been two months before they originally showed interest. Sorry for the miscommunication. |

Aha, get it now, sorry.
I'd just be reasonably honest with them. Don't come out with 'so, how much then?' but just state that you are now in a position to decide between the various offers you have received and would therefore greatly appreciate further information about the working conditions, hours and remuneration to aid your decision. |
