I first want to say that," I know a recruiter just makes the introduction between the teacher and the school".
Does anyone know a recruiter(other than Footprints) that has has success in placing ESL Teachers in good private schools or public schools?
Does the recruiter back you up the best he/she can if there are problems with the private school?
Which is better to work for, private or public schools?
I am looking to teach any where from third grade through high school. I am looking for a Monday -Friday schedule to be 9A.M. -4 or 5P.M. Saturday off or a half a day. Sunday off.
I am sorry that I did not put the information above first.
Thanks

There will be so many employers recruiting direct over the next 2/3 months, so why use a recruiter?
If you're bog standard Caucasian, youngish, native speaker I feel a recruiter is not worth the hassle/risk.
If you're non-Caucasian or in an older age group then you may need an advocate like a recruiter, but again, don't take anything a recruiter says at face and provided you don't try to cheat them the better ones will allow you to check out the employer by way of quizzing current or former teachers.

I would do the leg work yourself, it will be well worth it. Just look through boards and contact schools yourself.

I will do some leg work myself plus contact some recruiters. I noticed on another post that a TESL certificate will be required to teach in China come Spring. Is this true? Confused
