I have tried and tried six ways to Sunday to get my photo to fit the enjaz website's specs to no avail. I contacted the school who referred me to another guy who had the same problem and solved it. I sent him my photo, but he was unable to get mine to fit either. I asked another friend who also could not. I tried scanning a foto, no luck. I contacted enjaz's tech support who responded with the exact same info on the site. I am about to give up.

So all the months of preparation and finally securing a position are about to go down the tubes because of this?

Can anyone offer any insight here?

What do you mean by "to Sunday"? Are you using Enjaz IT technical word? Laughing

What was the format of your photo you are trying to fit in Enjaz website?
Have you tried to use different format: JPEG, JFIF, TIFF, RAW, PNG, BMP, etc?

My conjecture:

Please note: Due to the Islamic holiday Eid, the Saudi Arabian Government will be closed from Thursday November 11 to Friday November 19. Enjaz registrations submitted during the holiday duration will not be fully processed until November 22nd.

Add on a few days for them to exhaust their Lipton supply.

I guess you already knew this six days before Sunday:

Passport Picture - File Upload

A passport type passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a white background is required by the Saudi Arabia government. Acceptable photo formats include .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp and .tif.

Please limit the maximum size of the photo to 1MB or less to prevent upload problems. If you receive an error page when submitting this form, and you do not see a confirmation message, the size of the photo is most likely the problem. Please go back to the form and reload a smaller photo.

and: In case you encounter problems loading the photo to the Saudi on-line form, follow these steps:

A Windows computer using Internet Explorer as the browser is required.
Change settings to enable "Download unsigned ActiveX controls". To do this, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom level. Scroll to the listing for �Download unsigned ActiveX controls� and select the option �Enable�
Once that is enabled, the applicant should click on the yellow bar to allow the control to install. ((Once you have changed the setting to enabled, click on "OK" or "continue" (depending on your set up) to install your changes.)
It may be necessary to restart your Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
Once the control is installed, Click the�Import Person Picture� button.
If no window appears then the ActiveX control is not installed, so repeat the steps above and restart your Internet Explorer.
If you receive an error message, than your scanned photo is most likely not saved to the correct size.
Please note: after you select your photo, even if the photo does not appear in the photo box, you should be able to continue to the next step as long as you do not receive an error message.
Once your photo is loaded, click continue and follow the remaining steps above.

I am using Windows and Internet Explorer. My foto is a .jpg. Here are the specs that Enjaz insists upon:

My original foto was 3000 x 4000 pixels and 2.73 MB, obviously too large. So I resized it down to 65 x 87 but it is still 15.3 KB. Doesn't the number of pixels determine the size? How do I make all those things fit together? 3-4k is tiny.

I had a friend who went through the same troubles and she just contacted a visa agency who worked with the enjaz and paid a fee (35$) to get it done.

If you're seriously getting tired of trying you can try that method, if not I agree with Bebsi,

Some Qs for the OP:

Who exactly is this Travisa outfit? It looks like an agency approved by the Saudi embassy, right?

What exactly is this Enjaz thingie? I haven't heard of it before.

Has your employer in KSA already applied for and received your work visa authorization? If not, you ain't goin' nowhere, kiddo!

Are you even being given a work visa? I get the niggling feeling here you are being brought on a business visa. Bad idea!

Sounds like your employer has left you to your own devices. If so, that is a very bad sign.

How much do you know about Saudi Arabia? Have you lived/worked there in the past?[/b]

Different computer?

You could email the photo to yourself, then go to your public library and log on to their computer...I don't quite have the rest worked out, can you do a "save" on a public computer?--but at least you could rule out the computer itself as the source of the problem.

The embassy has a phone number. I found them very helpful.

To the best of my knowledge, only authorized agents have the access to get you the so-called "visa number".

In other words, you need to apply via some agent.
