So you wanna know about UoH. Well I worked there last year and let me tell you PMU is Hollywood compared to UoH. So D and his wife J run the show and yes they pre date the history of KSA. They have been some how Saudified. Unlike the USA, paperwork is done in a timely manner and when J (in the US) says something, you do it and that's the end of it. Noo at UoH, J tells you ok so I want this this and that. So you spend the whole weekend doing it and hand it in on Sat. (Saudi work days) She says, "What's this? Me: J, this is what you told me to do! J: No, I didn't say that I don't want that, you are wasting my time!!! J: I want that, that and this. One guy who lived on the copound handed all his documents to the admin. So D called him in and asked "Jo" where are your documents? (the MA, CELTA, CV, visa orginals) JO" D, I gave them to you? D: Oh well you know umm the admin is umm going to a new office and it has tiles!!!! I thought What does tiles have to do with "you" losing the man's papers??? I didn't say anything. So now on the compound, the water is shut off EVERY DAY, so that they can save on $. It's turned back on around 7:30 when the lucky ones who get the morning shift have already left to work. There was a pleathra of cats and many of the cats would sneak into the empty houses and have their kittens or just trash the entire place. No swmming pool because the men and women fought about the times and so then no one got to swim. People were promised a living area, but they didn't have enough apartments, so many people had to stay in a hotel. The classes are run down, there is trash all over the place. One time there was a broken window and the glass was all over the floor. The students in the PREP programme did not know any English; they were just thrown into a class and given the Head Way book. The placement test was a joke because the girls just picked any answer. Ask me about the Banner system nightmare: J decided that she wanted to do a placement test and put the students in correct levels. Well the Reg.. already decided that the girls' subjects will all have the same section #. So my section # is 116 for Math, English, Health and....., So when J put student "B" in section 115 for English it didn't match up on the Banner because the rest of her sections she was section 116. So at the end of the year we had to sit with 4 papers and J would call out and say ok find student ID # 9829873, what's her orginal section and what is her English section. Speaking about J, even though she has a good heart, she is not fit to be running a university. She is very unprofessional and at times rude!!!! She had her group of little helpers who would spy on other teachers (ok I understand that people need help with watching over a university, however not like these people.) She once flipped off one of the teachers. I came to her to ask about a test question for one of the students and J told me No, you are wrong, you are getting in my way and not helping me!!! She once told a teacher "So and So said you did this and this. J wanted to know more information about so and so, therefore J would insinuate things between the teachers. So, teacher A would say: what well so and so is doing this and that. Management is unstable...... I am pretty sure I CAN tell you more. This is just the tip of the iceberg
