Hi,
I will have a few weeks off this summer so I am planning to go back to the UK to see friends/family.
Can anybody give me an indication of prices, and the best time to book? I understand that it is a busy period for travel, but so far the best I can find is 950 pounds.
Thanks,
Rich |

That's not over the odds for summer high season. How about some more info on exactly when you want to go? |

Bumping this thread because I'm also looking for cheap summer flights to the UK. Did you find anything less than 950 rich?
I'm looking to go either Nagoya to London or Tokyo to London at a push, I'm living in Nagoya and it costs about 60 to get from here to Tokyo on the shink...
Checked a few comparison websites like Kayak and Travelsupermarket. HIS and No1 travel are too clunky with the whole email for a quote thing and in my previous experience are usually no cheaper, but I guess it might be worth a try? |

I paid 900 pounds...Air China, Nagoya to London. That was on the Air China website, with a transfer in Beijing.
It is more expensive than I envisaged, but transferring my July pay home will more than cover the cost, so I wasn't too worried and just wanted something booked. |

I've used STA Travel for some of my flights to and from Japan. Email for a quote and you should get a reply from an adviser fairly quickly. I've found they at least managed to find the same deal I was able to find, and sometimes a bit cheaper. But you get someone else to do it for you.
I actually had a kind adviser who suggested she send me a student card (even though I hadn't been a student for years) to take advantage of the cheaper flights. On the most recent flight coming back from London, I just booked a student discount ticket and wasn't required to show any proof of being a student. |
