Hi, I'm sure there is a strand on here somewhere.....but I can't find it. I'm looking for positions that are 3-6months teaching. I'm open to suggestions, I have a full teaching certificate and my partner has 4 years ESL experience and a TEFL certificate.
Any ideas??? |

Winter (holiday) camps - but depending on what part of the planet you are looking at the pay may not be much more than your airfare and visa costs.
Other than that it is virtually impossible to find anything that short (3-months).
You can get 5 month stints in China (1 semester) and they will pay your flight home, accommodation costs and a wage but you won't be paying off any bills at home by doing it.

Unfortunately, the 'Search' function on here is about as much use as a chocolate teapot for some people - just turns up a blank screen half the time, no idea why but I know I'm not the only one!
Anyhow, if the OP is interested in experiencing other cultures rather than money, Footprints are recruiting for short-term contracts in Georgia (former Soviet republic of, not the US state). Looks like it would be quite an interesting experience, I'm considering it myself next year. Several links to the job ad on the 'international jobs' board. |

if you're interested in asia, try the "omeida language college" in yangshuo, china. it's a stunningly beautiful place to work, and while you won't make very much at all doing it, you'll have a blast and the owner - odar - is a fair (and extremely interesting) guy. they offer short-term contracts without a problem. i did a three month gig there in 2008. |

I saw their site and while the programme looks pretty good, their website is an absolute nightmare! |

I am on a 6-month contract, and I am pretty certain that my school is hiring for 3-6 month stints right now. Google "Blue Sky Tengfei" |

There are many camps in China.
I have never worked for them so I don't know if they are good or not but Aston in China advertises many different lengths of contracts. Depending on their needs you may be able to get about any length of contract that you want. |

The country of Georgia, I believe, does 4-5 month contracts, return flight included. You go through Footprints Recruiting. |

You could try Omeida as mentioned above, but these days I think Odar is looking for longer contracts and the days of routinely accepting short stay teachers looks to be over. There will always be exceptions, but from working there in 2010, and heading back in 2011, I do think longer contracts are now the norm. |

Yeah I wish people would quit whining about repeat topics - who cares? Its practically impossible for most people to use this website most of the time so its no wonder |

It might depend on location. I used to have problems in LA, but in the US and Asia, I haven't had issues. |

Language Solutions ( ) used to have a fair few short term 3 month contracts, but these seem to have disappeared, probably because it meant having to deal with 4 times as many people as in a 1 year contract. |
