Hi all, hope everyone is safe here. I'm making my way out tomorrow for at least a week to watch this from a safer vantage point. My question is, what is the procedure to get a re-entry permit at Narita/Haneda? |

Probably not the answer you want, but . . .
Narita Airport District Immigration Office: 0476-34-2222
Haneda Airport District Immigration Office: 03-5708-3202
Tried to look for announcements or official up-to-date information, but I couldn't find anything (Japanese or English). Hopefully someone else can offer something better. |

Normally apparently it involves a lot of apologising for not following the usual procedure more than anything else, but you might find they're a bit more flexible at the moment. Tell them your parents are worried. |

Now why would they be worried? |

That's a relief, for both Japan and yourself. |

I'm not sure if it's for an emergency permit or if it's just business as usual, but my friend just went to Nartia Terminal 1 and picked up the standard re-entry form from an immigration booth on the 4th floor. She didn't have to explain anything.
She was told that she can either buy a 3,000 JPY revenue stamp from Terminal 1's post office or she can pay at the immigration gate (or whatever the area beyond the security check point's called). If she pays at the immigration gate, she was told to have the exact amount prepared because they don't give back change.
**Just for future reference** |

With the blackouts going on and such, what did everyone find was the best way to get to Narita? I'm thinking of taking a 2 week vacation myself. |
