You must teach a maximum of 20 hours a week PLUS you must meet with parents and students AND participate in promoitional events? And you will be working 6 days a week for a measly 4000RMB? No, this is definitely not a good deal!

I usually roll my eyes at how so many on here dismiss what are in fact typical contracts. On this occasion I can agree that this package stinks to high heaven.

However, if you are not looking to make money, just enough to get by and have your own funds to go out and do what you want for four months and just here for some light teaching experience, not a career, then it might suit you. My first gig was a three month stint in Qingdoa. Crap pay, ok conditions, but I just wanted to do something different during my year out travelling and this suited me just fine.

Note that I was working on an F visa and this was the wrong visa for me, so I was in fact working illegally. Please ensure you work on nothing other than a Z visa.

Their contract means absolutely nothing. They can (and did) break it with no skin off their back.

Blue Sky ignored the terms of my contract and fired me within two weeks of completing it, thereby saving the last half-month of salary as well as the 4000 for the airline ticket. They lied on the release letter to justify my termination, they deducted 400 RMB for two months of utilities as well as 500 for my medical exam. Of course, they waited until the day of termination to let me know that.

Everything was fine up until then. I was hoping that there was at least one honest school here, but I haven't found it yet.

There is only one private language mill in in that town. Warning: they may change the franchise name to an English First name. Whatever; you DO NOT want to teach in Weishan, Shandong.

The manager and owners of Blue Sky Tengfei in Weishan are complete crooks. Run away!!
