Just had my Nova interview. I listed my preferences as:

1. Kobe

2. Fukuoka

3. Osaka

Assuming it makes any difference, I am considering telling them that my first choice is now Fukoka, second Kobe. Don't know why - keep going forth.

If you've been to/lived in both, what do you think?

I have been to Kobe and I live in Fukuoka. I really think that they both have a similar feel. Both are quite pretty (as far as Japanese cities go) and easy to get around in. Kobe is a lot more earthquakey than Fukuoka.

I've been to Kobe many times and really like it. I don't think you'll go wrong in either place. I wouldn't get your hopes up that Nova will send you to either place though.
