I want to teach in China. I am finishing up my current contract at the end of November. I would like to finish up my contarct and then take a family vacation at Christmas time. My question is this, is it possible to pick up a contract starting the 1st of January or would I be better off looking for one to start after Chinese New Year? By the way, Chinese New Year is Feb 9th in 2005. Should I just resign myself to a 3 month rather than 1 month holiday or can I land a job beforehand?

| As far as im aware in a private school you can pretty much start year round but a public school (usually a better bet) the main start dates are september and febuary so you may be best travelling for a bit and waiting until Feb. |
