I recently received a 3-year visa extension. I can't remember, though ... do I need to register it at the city or ward office?

Yes, you need to tell the local office about your change of status (extension). Technically, you have 2 weeks to do that.
Whether you bring the card to city hall or the ward office depends on which one handles those things in your area. I've done it in both. |
